GORBACHEV

A man on Mars
Is what he needs
This man who satisfies
The minor greeds for peace
And saying one’s piece
A man on Mars
Not more in wars For this man who restores
Things as they ought to be
A man on Mars
Is what he needs
To bolster his other deeds
A man on Mars
To gaze at us
Raising Soviet status
To preserve duality
No one single hegemony over all
A choice at least
Of evils.
