EDGAR CASEY

Edgar Casey
Bible belt native son
righteous creationist
was estranged from
his entranced self
and tried to be
a good man and Christian

His dreams told him God was lonely
He had no companions
He had no equals
And as omnipotent as He was
He could not create an Equal

So He set the Universe in motion
as capriciously as He could
so there’d be randomness, chaos
and Free Will
so equals could create themselves
and sit at His side

And was not Adam lonely
even in Eden?
as God was in Heaven?
So God did for Adam
what He could not do for Himself
and Eve was his equal
but not the same
Man’s journey was explained

Edgar Casey dreamt blasphemy
and tried to flee his visions
by preaching the Word
until he made peace with truth
